Plans to construct the Winnipeg Manitoba Temple were announced April 2, 2011. Church leaders broke ground December 3, 2016, and Elder Gerrit W. Gong of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles dedicated the Winnipeg Manitoba Temple October 21, 2021. The temple serves Latter-day Saints in Manitoba and Northern Ontario.

The 991–square-metre temple features a brick exterior with a terra-cotta clay tile roof.
